Ahoada West (sometimes spelled Ahuda West) is a Local Government Area situated northwest of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, Nigeria. It was carved out of the former Ahoada Local Government in 1996 to become the current Orashi Region of Rivers State. It is headquartered in Akinima.

LGA includes Ekpeyes (Ubies and Ibuduyas), Engenni, and Ogbogolo. Ekpeye, Engenni, and Ogbogolo are the three languages.
The Orashi river crisscrosses the whole Local Government territory, which is mostly rain forest. People mostly cultivate, fish, and hunt.
The LGA is bordered by Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni, Abua/Odua, and Ahoada East on the east, and Besini and Yenagoa of Bayelsa State on the north and west. Engenni marks Rivers and Bayelsa’s western border.
