The Isle of Anglesey is a county off the northwest coast of Wales.

Its Welsh name is Ynys Môn (/ˈɈɡəι/).

It is named after Anglesey Island, which takes up 94% of its space. Other islands, islets, and skerries are also in the group.

To the southeast, the county borders Gwynedd across the Menai Strait.

On the other side, the Irish Sea cuts through the county.

The largest town is Holyhead, and Llangefni is the administrative centre.

It is a part of the preserved county of Gwynedd.

With only 68,900 people living on an area of 276 square miles (710 km2), the Isle of Anglesey is not very populated.

Llangefni (5,116 people) and Amlwch (3,789 people) are the next largest towns, after Holyhead (11,431).
