Lau Towns And Villages

Lau is a Local Government Area in Taraba State, Nigeria, with its headquarters in the town of Lau. Hausa and Fulani communities dominate the area, which covers about 1,660 km2 along the Benue River near the Adamawa border.

The 2006 census recorded a population of 95,190. Projections put the 2022 figure near 149,700.

Lau shares borders with the Taraba local governments of Ardo Kola, Jalingo, Yorro and Zing, and with Numan across the state line in Adamawa State.
