Ilaje Towns And Villages
Ilaje is a Local Government Area in the south-west of Ondo State, Nigeria, headquartered at Igbokoda. It is a riverine and coastal LGA, made up almost entirely of creeks, lagoons and Atlantic shoreline, with settlements grouped under the traditional Ugbo, Mahin, Etikan and Aheri chieftaincy areas.
The 2006 census counted 289,838 residents; projections put the 2022 figure near 445,200. Ilaje is largely accessible only by boat, which has historically made a full settlement count difficult.
