Esan Central Towns And Villages

Esan Central is a Local Government Area in Edo State, Nigeria, with its headquarters at Irrua. The area covers about 253 square kilometres and carries the postal code 311004.

The 2006 census counted 155,500 residents. Esan Central holds ten wards: Ikekato, Otoruwa I, Otoruwa II, Uneah, Uwessan I, Uwessan II, Ewu I, Ewu II, Opoji and Ugbegun.

The Esan people farm and trade across the LGA’s four traditional districts: Irrua, Ewu, Opoji and Ugbegun. Esan Central borders Igueben and Esan West within Edo State.
