Omala Towns And Villages
Omala is a Local Government Area in Kogi State, Nigeria, on the north bank of the Benue River. Its headquarters sits at Abejukolo, near 7°43′N 7°33′E. The 2006 census counted 107,968 residents; the 2022 projection puts the figure near 145,500.
Igala speakers form the majority, with Bassa and Agatu minorities linked to communities across the Benue River in Benue State. Omala holds 11 registration wards: Abejukolo I, Abejukolo II, Opoda/Ofejiji, Bagana, Okpatala, Akpacha, Bagaji, Icheke Ajopachi, Ogodu, Oji-Aji and Olla.
