Dooly County is a county in the middle of the state of Georgia in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 11,208 people living there.
Vienna is the county seat.
The county was made on May 15, 1821, by an act of the Georgia General Assembly.
It was named after Colonel John Dooly, who fought in the Georgia American Revolutionary War.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county covers 397 square miles (1,030 km2), of which 392 square miles (1,020 km2) are land and 5.3 square miles (14 km2) (1.3% of the total) are water.
The county is in the part of the state called the upper Atlantic coastal plain.
