Bonner County is located in northern Idaho, in the United States.

The population was 47,110 at the time of the 2020 census.

Sandpoint is the county seat and the major city.

It was formed from Kootenai County in 1907 and named for Edwin L. Bonner, a ferry operator.

The Sandpoint, Idaho Micropolitan Statistical Area includes Bonner County.

The county has a total area of 1,919 square miles (4,970 km2), of which 1,735 square miles (4,490 km2) is land and 185 square miles (480 km2) (9.6%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
