Iwajowa Towns And Villages
Iwajowa is a Local Government Area in Oyo State, Nigeria. Its headquarters sit at Iwere-Ile, roughly 60km northwest of Ibadan on the road to Iganna; the LGA covers rural farmland straddling the Iganna, Iwere-Ile, Aiyegun, Idiko-Ago/Itasa/Ayetoro-Ile, Ilaji-Ile and Idiko-Ile settlement clusters.
The 2006 census put Iwajowa’s population at 102,847, projected to about 147,000 by 2022. Yoruba is the first language; many hamlets carry the “Aba” (family compound) or “Budo”/”Gaa” (farm-camp) prefix typical of this part of Oyo State.
