Ido Towns And Villages

Ido is a Local Government Area in Oyo State, Nigeria, on the western edge of Ibadan. Its headquarters is the town of Ido. The 2006 census counted 104,087 people; a 2022 projection puts the figure near 148,800.

Ido has ten wards: Aba Emo/Ilaju/Alako, Akufo/Idigba/Araromi, Akinware/Akindele, Apete/Ayegun/Awotan, Batake/Idi-Iya, Erinwusi/Koguo/Odetola, Fenwa/Oganla/Elenusonso, Ido/Onikede/Okuna Awo, Omi Adio/Omi Onigbagbo Bakatari, and Ogundele/Alaho/Siba/Idi-Ahun. Omi Adio and Apete, in the LGA’s east, sit closest to Ibadan and have grown into commuter suburbs; the western wards stay rural and farm-based.
