Igbo Etiti Towns And Villages

Igbo Etiti is a Local Government Area in Enugu State, Nigeria, on the Nsukka-Enugu road. Its headquarters sits at Ogbede. The area covers about 325 square kilometres, centred near 6°40â€ēN 7°22â€ēE.

The 2006 census counted 208,333 residents; a 2022 projection puts the figure near 299,000. Igbo Etiti holds 22 wards grouped around ten main towns: Aku, Diogbe, Ekwegbe, Ikolo/Ohebe, Ochima/Onyohor/Idoha, Ozalla, Udueme and Ukehe.

The list below was checked against the 2015 INEC polling-unit directory, the GRID3 Nigeria settlement dataset, GeoNames, and the Igbo Etiti Wikipedia ward list; a remaining group of hyperlocal hamlet names on the old list had no independent record in any of these and were held back rather than published (see the site’s editorial notes for that LGA).
