Sherman County is one of the 36 counties that make up the state of Oregon in the United States.
The population was 1,870 as of the 2020 census, making it Oregon’s second-least populous county after nearby Wheeler.
Moro is the county seat, and Wasco is the largest city.
The county was named after Union General William Tecumseh Sherman during the American Civil War.
The county has a total area of 831 square miles (2,150 km2), of which 824 square miles (2,130 km2) is land and 7.5 square miles (19 km2) (0.9%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
