Grant County is located on the northern border of the United States state of Oklahoma.
The population was 4,169 at the time of the 2020 census.
Medford serves as the county seat.
Originally part of the Cherokee Outlet, it was renamed County L in Oklahoma Territory when it opened to non-Indian settlement.
It was renamed after Ulysses S. Grant in a county election.
The county has a total area of 1,004 square miles (2,600 km2), of which 1,001 square miles (2,590 km2) is land and 2.7 square miles (7.0 km2) (0.3%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
