Falls County is a county in the state of Texas in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 16,968 people living there.
Marlin is the county seat.It was named after a 10-foot-tall waterfall on the Brazos River that was there before a storm in 1866 changed the river’s path.
The current falls are two miles northeast of the original falls.
They are in the Falls on the Brazos Park, which is a camping area just a few miles outside of Marlin on Farm to Market Road 712.
Falls County is part of the metro area that includes Waco, Texas.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 774 sq mi (2,000 km2), of which 765 sq mi (1,980 km2) are land and 8.4 sq mi (22 km2) (1.1%) are water.
