Bristol County is a county in the state of Rhode Island in the United States.
As of the 2020 census, there were 50,793 people living there, making it the county with the fewest people in all of Rhode Island.
It is the third-smallest county in the United States in terms of land area, with only 25 square miles (65 km2).
When it was split off from Bristol County, Massachusetts, in 1747, the county was made.
Bristol County is part of the Providence-Warwick, RI-MA Metropolitan Statistical Area, which is part of the larger Boston-Worcester-Providence, MA-RI-NH-CT Combined Statistical Area.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county is 45 square miles (120 km2) in size, with 21 square miles (54 km2) of water and 24 square miles (62 km2) of land.
It is the Rhode Island county with the fewest people.
It is the third-smallest county in the United States in terms of land area, after Kalawao County in Hawaii and New York County in New York (Manhattan).
Mount Hope in Bristol is 217 feet (66 meters) above sea level and is the highest point in the county.
