The state of Utah is divided into 29 counties. Salt Lake County is the oldest (founded in 1849), while Daggett County is the youngest (established in 1919).

Salt Lake County is the most populous, with a population of 1,029,665. San Juan County has the most land area (20,254 km2), while Davis County has the smallest (774 km2).
