The county of Terrell is in the American state of Texas.

As of the 2020 census, there were 760 people living there.

This made it the seventh-least populated county in Texas and the 37th-least populated county in the whole country.

Its county seat is the census-designated place of Sanderson. There are no cities or towns in the county that have their own governments.

Alexander W. Terrell was a Texas state senator, so the county was named after him. One of the nine counties in the Trans-Pecos area of West Texas is Terrell County.

It is where the book No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy and the movie with the same name, which won an Oscar, take place.

The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county is 2,358 square miles (6,110 km2) in size, and almost all of that is land.
