In the state of Pennsylvania, there is a county called Sullivan County. Northeastern Pennsylvania has it.

At the time of the 2020 census, there were 5,840 people living there.

This made it the second-least populous county in Pennsylvania. Laporte is the county seat.

On March 15, 1847, part of Lycoming County was taken away to make this county. It was named for Major General John Sullivan.

The county has a total area of 452 square miles (1,170 km2), of which 450 square miles (1,200 km2) are land and 2.6 square miles (6.7 km2) (0.6%) are water, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
