Sioux County is a county in the state of Iowa in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 35,872 people living there. Orange City is the county seat.
Sioux Center is its biggest city.
On January 15, 1851, Sioux County was made. Since January 20, 1860, it has been running itself. It got its name from the tribe of Sioux.
The county has a total area of 769 square miles (1,990 km2), of which 768 square miles (1,990 km2) are land and 0.7 square miles (1.8 km2) (0.09%) are water, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
Western Sioux County runs into the Rock River or the Big Sioux River to the southwest.
The Floyd River is to the south and east of eastern Sioux County.
