The U.S. state of New York has a county called Schuyler County.
As of the 2020 census, there were 17,898 people living there.
This made it the second-least populated county in New York.
The village of Watkins Glen is the county seat.
The name is in honour of General Philip Schuyler, one of the four most important generals in the Continental Army during the American Revolutionary War.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county is 342 square miles (890 km2) in size, with 328 square miles (850 km2) of land and 14 square miles (36 km2) of water, or 4.1%.
Schuyler County is in the western part of New York State, west of Ithaca and at the southern end of Seneca Lake.
