Mills County is a county in the state of Texas.
On March 15, 1887, it was formed by combining sections of four existing counties: Brown, Comanche, Hamilton, and Lampasas.
The population was 4,456 according to the 2020 census.
Goldthwaite is the county seat.
The county has a total area of 750 square miles (1,900 km2), of which 748 square miles (1,940 km2) is land and 1.5 square miles (3.9 km2) (0.2%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
The elevation is between 1,200 and 1,750 feet.
