Madison County is a county in the state of Texas in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 13,455 people living there.
Its capital is in Madisonville.[2] The county was made in 1853, and the next year it was set up.
It is named after the fourth President of the United States, James Madison.Clinton Mercer Crabb.
In 1852, he was chosen to fill the rest of F. L. Hatch’s time as a State Representative.
Crabb introduced a bill to make Madison County, which was one of the things he did well as a lawmaker.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 472 square miles (1,220 km2), of which 466 square miles (1,210 km2) are land and 6.4 square miles (17 km2) (1%) are water.
