It is pronounced (/lpskm/ LIP-skm).
As of the census in 2020, there were 3,059 people living there.
Lipscomb is the county seat.
The county was made in 1876, and in 1887 it was put together.
It is named after Judge Abner Smith Lipscomb, who was a secretary of state for the Republic of Texas.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 932 sq mi (2,410 km2), of which almost all is land and only 0.1 sq mi (0.26 km2) (0.01%) is water.
