Le Flore County is a county in the U.S. state of Oklahoma.

It is on the eastern edge of the state.

As of the census in 2020, there were 48,129 people living there.

Poteau is the county seat.

The county is part of the Fort Smith metropolitan area, and the name comes from a Choctaw family named LeFlore.

The federal district court in LeFlore County is the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Oklahoma.

The US Census Bureau says that the county covers a total area of 1,609 square miles (4,170 km2), of which 1,589 square miles (4,120 km2) are land and 19 square miles (49 km2) (1.2% of the total area) are water.
