Laurens County is a county in the middle of the state of Georgia in the United States.

As of the 2020 census, there were 49,570 people living there.

In 2010, there were 48,434 people.

Dublin is the county seat.

The county was made on December 10, 1807.

It was named for Lieutenant Colonel John Laurens, a soldier and politician from South Carolina during the American Revolutionary War.

The Dublin, Georgia Micropolitan Statistical Area has Laurens County as a part of it.

The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 818 square miles (2,120 km2), of which 807 square miles (2,090 km2) are land and 11 square miles (28 km2) (1.4%) are water.

It has the third-largest land area and the fourth-largest total area of any county in Georgia.
