Lauderdale County is a county in the U.S. state of Tennessee.
It is on the western edge of the state, right next to the Mississippi River.
As of the census in 2020, there were 25,143 people living there.
Ripley is the county seat.
Since the time before the Civil War, it has been used to grow cotton as a major crop.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county covers 508 square miles (1,320 km2), of which 472 square miles (1,220 km2) are land and 36 square miles (93 km2) are water, or 7.0%.
