La Paz County, also known as Condado de La Paz, is the 15th county to be established in the state of Arizona, United States, and is situated in the western region of the state.
With a population of 16,557 residents as of the census completed in the year 2020, it was the county in Arizona with the second-lowest population.
Parker is the principal city of the county. The name of the county comes from the early hamlet (now a ghost town) of La Paz, which was located along the Colorado River.
The name of the place is the Spanish term for “the peace.”
