Kenedy County is a county in the state of Texas in the United States.

As of the census in 2020, there were 350 people living there.

It has the third-fewest people in Texas and the fourth-fewest people in the whole country.

Sarita is the county seat.

The county was made in 1921 from parts of Hidalgo and Willacy counties.

It is named for Mifflin Kenedy, a rancher and steamboat operator who lived in the area in the past.

Kenedy County is part of both the Corpus Christi-Kingsville-Alice, TX Combined Statistical Area and the Kingsville, TX Kingsville Micropolitan Statistical Area.

There are no cities or towns with their own governments in Kenedy County.

The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 1,946 square miles (5,040 km2), of which 1,458 square miles (3,780 km2) is land and 487 square miles (1,260 km2) (25%) is water.

Kenedy is the 13th largest county in Texas in terms of land size.

It is the 25th largest county in Texas by land size only.

The Gulf of Mexico is right next to it. Kleberg County is mostly bordered by Baffin Bay.
