Jackson County is located in the Arkansas Delta in the U.S. state of Arkansas.

It is in the U.S. state of Arkansas. Andrew Jackson was a national hero during the War of 1812, so the county is named after him.

Jackson was the seventh President of the United States by the time the county was made in 1829. Jackson County has seven towns and four cities, with Newport, the largest city and county seat, being one of them.

There are also a lot of unincorporated towns and “ghost towns” in the county. Jackson County is the 41st largest of Arkansas’s 75 counties.

It is 633.94 square miles (164,190 ha) big, making it the 41st largest in size.

As of the 2020 Census, there were 16,755 people living in the county. Based on the number of people who live there, the county is Arkansas’s 44th largest.
