Ida County is a county in the state of Iowa in the United States.
As of the 2020 census, there were 7,005 people living there. This made it the eighth-least populated county in the state.Ida Grove is the county seat.
In January 1851, the Iowa Legislature approved the county as part of a group of planned counties in the western part of the state that was not yet formed.
It was named after Ida Smith, who was the first child born in this area to European settlers.
