Grayson County is a county in Kentucky, United States.
The population was 26,420 at the time of the 2020 census.
Leitchfield is the county seat.
The county was named for William Grayson (1740-1790), a Revolutionary War colonel and influential Virginia political figure, in 1810. Grayson County was previously a prohibition or dry county, but in 2010, Leitchfield permitted limited alcohol sales in restaurants and voted “wet” in 2016.
The county has a total area of 511 square miles (1,320 km2), of which 497 square miles (1,290 km2) is land and 14 square miles (36 km2) (2.8%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
