Graham County (/rehaem/)[1] is a county in the United States state of North Carolina.
The population was 8,030 as of the 2020 census, ranking it third-least populous county in North Carolina.
Robbinsville serves as the county seat.
On January 30, 1872, the county was formed from the northeastern part of Cherokee County.
It was named after William A. Graham,[4] a United States Senator from North Carolina from 1840 to 1843 and Governor of North Carolina from 1845 to 1849.
The county has a total area of 302 square miles (780 km2), of which 292 square miles (760 km2) is land and 9.6 square miles (25 km2) (3.2%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
