Gilliam County is one of the 36 counties that make up the state of Oregon in the United States.
The population was 1,995 as of the 2020 census, making it Oregon’s third-least populous county.
Condon is the county seat.
The county was founded in 1885 and is named after Cornelius Gilliam,[3] a colonel who led the forces of Oregon’s provisional government after the Whitman Massacre.
The county has a total area of 1,223 square miles (3,170 km2), of which 1,205 square miles (3,120 km2) is land and 18 square miles (47 km2) (1.5%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
