Garza County is a county in the state of Texas in the United States.
As of the 2020 census, there were 5,816 people living there.
Most of them lived in Post, which is the county seat and the only incorporated city.
The county was made in 1876, but it wasn’t set up until 1907.Garza is named after a pioneer family from Bexar County, which it used to be a part of.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 896 sq mi (2,320 km2), of which 893 sq mi (2,310 km2) are land and 2.8 sq mi (7.3 km2) (0.3%) are water.
It is in the Canyonlands of the Llano Estacado Escarpment, which is southeast of Lubbock.
