Garfield County is a county in the state of Washington in the United States.
As of the 2020 census, there were 2,286 people living there, making it the least populated county in Washington.
With about 3.2 people per square mile (1.2/km2), it also has the fewest people per area in the state. Pomeroy is the county seat and the only city.
The US Census Bureau says that the county covers a total area of 718 square miles (1,860 km2), of which 711 square miles (1,840 km2) are land and 7.5 square miles (19 km2) (1% of the total area) are water.
It is part of the Palouse, a wide, rolling prairie-like area in the middle Columbia basin.
