Floyd County is a county in Iowa, United States.

The population was 15,627 at the time of the 2020 census.

Charles City is the county seat.

Floyd County was founded in 1854 and named after Sergeant Charles Floyd of the Lewis and Clark Expedition, who died in 1804 at what is now Sioux City, Iowa, and was the Expedition’s only fatality.

The county has a total area of 501 square miles (1,300 km2), of which 501 square miles (1,300 km2) is land and 0.8 square miles (2.1 km2) (0.1%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
