Ferry County is a county in the U.S. state of Washington.
It is on the northern edge of the state.
As of the 2020 census, there were 7,178 people living there.
This made it the fourth least populated county in Washington.
Republic is the county seat and biggest city.
The county was made from Stevens County in February 1899. It is named after Elisha P. Ferry, who was the first governor of the state.
The US Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 2,257 square miles (5,850 km2), of which 2,203 square miles (5,710 km2) are land and 54 square miles (140 km2) are water, or 2.4%.
