Cedar County is a county in the southwest of the state of Missouri in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 14,188 people living there.
Stockton is the county seat.
The county was created on February 14, 1845.
It was named for Cedar Creek, a stream that flows into the Sac River.
The Eastern red cedar, a common tree in the area, is where the creek gets its name.
The county has a total area of 499 square miles (1,290 km2), of which 474 square miles (1,230 km2) are land and 24 square miles (62 km2) (4.8%) are water, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
