Bristol Bay Borough in Alaska is on Bristol Bay. The 2020 census counted 844 people, down from 997 in 2010. Naknek is borough seat. No incorporated settlements.
Bristol Bay became Alaska’s first borough in 1962. It is also one of the smallest, consisting of the rectangle of land around Naknek on the coast and King Salmon (which, interestingly, is the borough seat for the adjoining Lake and Peninsula Borough) inland.
The borough covers 888 square miles (2,300 km2), with 504 square miles (1,310 km2) land and 384 square miles (990 km2) water (43.2%).
