Bledsoe County is a county in the state of Tennessee in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 14,913 people living there.
Pikeville is the county seat.
In 1807, land that used to be Indian Land and land taken from Roane County were used to make Bledsoe County.
Anthony Bledsoe (1739–1788) was a soldier in the Revolutionary War and one of the first people to live in Sumner County.
The county was named after him. At Bledsoe’s Station, an Indian attack killed him.
The county has a total area of 407 square miles (1,050 km2), of which 406 square miles (1,050 km2) are land and 0.3 square miles (0.78 km2) (0.08%) are water, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
