Baylor County is a county in the state of Texas in the United States.
As of the census in 2020, there were 3,465 people living there.
Seymour is the county seat.
In 1858, the Texas Legislature made Baylor County and named it after Henry Weidner Baylor, a doctor in the Texas Rangers during the Mexican–American War. It was set up in 1879.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county has a total area of 901 sq mi (2,330 km2), of which 34 sq mi (88 km2) (3.7% of the total area) is made up of water.
