Andrews County is a county in the state of Texas in the United States.
It is in West Texas, and Andrews is the county seat.
As of the census in 2020, there were 18,610 people living there.
All of Andrews County is part of the Andrews Micropolitan Statistical Area.
Andrews County was made out of Tom Green County on August 21, 1876, and it was set up in 1910.
It was named after a soldier in the Texas Revolution named Richard Andrews.
The U.S. Census Bureau says that the county covers 1,501 square miles (3,890 km2), almost all of which is land. Only 0.4 square miles (1.0 km2) (0.02%) are made up of water.
There are many playa lakes in the county. Baird Lake and Shafter Lake are the two largest.
