Adair County is a county in Kentucky, United States. The population was 18,903 at the time of the 2020 census. Columbia is the county seat and the only municipality.
The county was named for John Adair, then Speaker of the House of Representatives in Kentucky and afterwards Governor of Kentucky (1820-1824).
The county has a total area of 412 square miles (1,070 km2), of which 405 square miles (1,050 km2) is land and 7.1 square miles (18 km2) (1.7%) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
