The capital of this governorate is Beni Suef, which is located about 120 kilometers south of Cairo on the Nile River’s west bank.
The neighborhood is well-known throughout Egypt for its cement manufacturers. The neighboring Meidum pyramid is the sole major tourist attraction in the area.
