Bas-Uélé (French for “Lower Uélé”) is one of the Democratic Republic of the Congo’s 21 new provinces established in the 2015 repartitioning.
The old Orientale Province was divided into four provinces: Bas-Uélé, Haut-Uélé, Ituri, and Tshopo.
Bas-Uélé was founded from the Bas-Uele District, with Buta serving as the ne province’s capital.

- Bambesa
- Bondo
- Buta
- Poko
