Clinton County is a county in the state of Indiana in the United States.

As of 2010, there were 33,224 people living there. Frankfort is the county seat.

Clinton County was made official on March 1, 1830.

It was named after DeWitt Clinton, who was the sixth governor of New York State and the man who designed the Erie Canal, which made it possible for people to live in the Upper Midwest.

According to the 2010 census, the county covers a total area of 405.25 square miles (1,049.6 km2), of which 405.07 square miles (1,049.1 km2) (or 99.96%) is land and 0.18 square miles (0.47 km2) (or 0.04%) is water. In Clinton County, there is E85.
