Yamaltu/Deba Towns And Villages
Yamaltu/Deba is a Local Government Area in Gombe State, Nigeria, southeast of Gombe city. Its headquarters sits at Deba (also called Deba Habe). Tera and Fulani people make up most of the population.
The 2006 census counted 255,726 residents. A 2022 projection put the figure near 428,200. The LGA covers about 1,981 square kilometres and holds 11 wards: Deba, Gwani/Shinga/Wade, Hinna, Jagali North, Jagali South, Kanawa/Wajari, Kwadon/Liji/Kurba, Lano/Kuri/Lambam, Lubo/Difa/Kinafa, Nono/Kunuwal/Wuro Birdeka and Zambuk/Kwali.
The southern end of Lake Dadin Kowa lies within the LGA, on the Gongola River.
