Dakahlia Governorate (Arabic: محافظة الدقهلية Muḥāfaẓah el Daqahliyah, pronounced [ed.daeʔæhˈlejjæ]) is an Egyptian governorate located northeast of Cairo. It has an area of around 3,500 km2.

The governorate’s name is derived from the ancient town of Daqahlah, located in the contemporary Damietta Governorate.
