Facebook Dating is not a standalone login or a separate download. It is a feature inside the Facebook app you already use, with its own profile that is kept apart from your main timeline. Is there a Facebook Dating app to download?
No. Searching an app store for a “Facebook Dating” app will not find an official one. Dating is built into the regular Facebook app, so all you need is the latest version of Facebook installed and a standard personal account. How to open Facebook Dating
- Open the Facebook app and log in.
- Tap Menu — the three lines (top-right on Android) or your profile picture (bottom-right on iPhone).
- Scroll down and tap See more to expand the shortcuts list.
- Tap Dating, shown with a red-and-purple heart icon.
If there is no Dating option at all, you are likely outside a supported country, under 18, on a Page or professional-mode profile, or on the desktop site, which does not carry Dating.
How to set up your Dating profile
Your Dating profile is separate from your main Facebook profile. Setting it up takes a few minutes:
- Open Dating from the menu and tap to get started.
- Confirm your details, gender, and who you want to be matched with.
- Allow location access so Facebook can suggest people near you.
- Add photos and answer a few prompts to fill out the profile.
- Review your preferences (age range, distance, and interests) and save.
Once saved, you can start browsing and liking suggested matches. You only appear to, and see, other people who also have a Dating profile.
Where Facebook Dating is available
As of July 2026, Facebook Dating runs in 50-plus countries — the United States, Canada, most of Europe, and parts of South America and Southeast Asia. It is not available across most of Africa or much of the Middle East and South Asia. The exact list changes over time, so the surest check is whether the Dating shortcut appears in your own app. Facebook lists current eligibility on its Who can use Facebook Dating help page.
