Towns and Villages in Kembata Zone
Kembata is a zone in the Central Ethiopia Regional State in Ethiopia.
It was previously known as Kembata, Alaba, and Tembaro, with Alaba and Tembaro becoming special woredas in 2002 and 2023, respectively.
This zone is named after the Kambaata people, who obtained zonal status following the formation of the Central Ethiopian region in 2023.
According to the 2007 Census conducted by the CSA, this Zone has a total population of 680,837, with 336,676 men and 344,161 women; with an area of 1,355.89 square kilometers, Kembata has a population density of 502.13.
